Tecnoil has been developing and designing business in Brazil for 52 years, always in pursuit of excellence, but its history began long before that.

For three generations, we have been commercial representatives in the energy sector (the Frias Rocha family) and in steel mills (the Somaglino family).

The Frias Rocha family has been contributing to the development of Brazil’s energy industry since 1938, when Mr. Edgard Frias Rocha was directly involved in designing the first oil well drilled in Bahia, Brazil. Engineer Edgard Frias Rocha had the honor of testing that well in the presence of Brazilian President Getúlio Vargas, that years later (1953), founded Petrobras.
